Ordering medicinal gases

Medicinal gases are subject to the same official regulations and laws as other medicinal products.

In order to clarify the ordering of medicinal gases and the management of the subscribers, we will cease telephone orders for medicinal gases. In the future, ordering medical gases will mainly take place in the Linde online shop.

What does this mean for our customer ordering medical gases?

Linde can only supply medicines to its customers under certain conditions:

- The organization ordering the medicinal gases must be an operator working in accordance with the laws, regulations and other official regulations
- The ordering organization must know who is authorized to order medical gases (persons/site) in the organization. All subscribers must be authorized to order.
- The ordering organization must know who is the principal who authorizes the subscribers for each site. Possible delegates include, for example, a chief physician, a hospital pharmacist, or a physician in charge of the unit.

We ask all organizations ordering medicinal gases to give the names of the persons currently ordering medicinal gases in the organization separately for each location using the attached electronic form. The signatory of the form must be the principal of that organization.

Frequently asked

Where can I find the customer number of my delivery address?
If you have received a request for information from Linde regarding notification of authorizations, you have received your customer number via email. Alternatively, you can request a listing of your customer numbers from our customer service hctilaus.fi@linde.com or from your own contact person. Please note that your organization may have different customer numbers for ordering medical gases, medical devices and supplies, and industrial gases. Authorization is only required for establishments using medicinal gases. The form must be completed separately for each gas-using site. One form/site.

What to do when the principal changes?
If the principal changes, the new principal must re-fill the authorization forms separately for each of the sites he or she authorizes.

What to do when there are changes in the subscribers?
In the event of changes in the subscribers, the organisation's representatives will be able to manage the subscription IDs independently in the Linde online shop. At the first time, Linde registers the necessary IDs for customers.

Our company is an enterprise who needs first aid oxygen, how do I operate?
The use of oxygen for first aid purposes requires authorization. The authorizer may be, for example, an occupational health physician. We recommend that you contact your occupational health and agree on this.

Are you sure you need medicinal oxygen?
The need for gases is diverse and the need is not always for a gas defined as a medicine (see the definition of a medicine), but for a certain degree of purity, for example. Linde offers products that are better suited for technical purposes and are not subject to pharmaceutical legislation. More information on these products can be found on the website http://linde-gas.fi

We will cease telephone orders for medicinal gases - order from the Linde online Shop

To clarify eligibility for both parties, we will cease the ordering of medicinal gases over the phone. In the future, we will route orders for medicinal gases through the Linde online shop. This makes it easier to manage orders and the people responsible for ordering. In the future, you will also see details there such as order history, favorite products, and waybills, and you’ll be able to manage your subscribers.
